Indus Valley is an isometric city builder set on the flood plains of the Bronze-Age Indus, four and a half thousand years ago. Found a settlement on the river, raise mud-brick homes, feed and water your people, and trade along the Indus until humble huts grow into the grand walled compounds of a great civilization.

BUILD A LIVING CITY

• Found your city with a Citadel, then unlock civic, housing, farming, industry and trade buildings.

• Bring water from wells, raise farms, store grain, and run markets so homes never go hungry.

• Watch houses evolve from one-room huts to grand compounds as you supply water, food, temples, baths, safety and fine goods.

RUN AN ECONOMY

• Set tax rates that fill your treasury but sour the public mood — and above 20%, breed crime.

• Trade surplus grain, pottery and beer through trade houses and river docks; fine-tune what you buy and sell.

• Balance mood, food, crime and fire across a whole growing city from the Dashboard.

Stuck on the reed marshes, something is preventing me getting more than 800 food even though I have granary spots for it.
